Deaf New Americans Advocacy Inc

Over the decade, Syracuse has seen tremendous growth in Deaf New American services and community support to Deaf New Americans. In Central New York, we have Deaf New Americans from many different nationalities; our primary group is Bhutanese Nepali. We estimate that there are 50+ Deaf New American Adults in the Syracuse area, as well as many Deaf children, Children of Deaf Adults (CODAs), and families with mixed hearing statuses.

It was created to bring the Deaf New American immigrants and Asylum seekers community together and to help them use their skills from their home countries to grow fresh produce used for home cooking and as an income source to be selling at Markets
